The issue is that I believe it does that on each request, though I&#039;m not certain of that. If it does, that&#039;s really wasteful. I just didn&#039;t have the time or inclination to do something more elegant. It works, but there should be a better way. If you want the code, drop me an email. mjscott at your domain.</description>

I am stuck in the same mess that you describe above. I have tried several different apache mod_auth modules for ldap, including one that was shared with me from ITS, but that one will not build on my web server. 

What was your final solution to the ldap authorization piece?
